Palliative care describes the physical, psychological and social care and support given to people who have an illness or disease that cannot be cured. This may be due to cancer, or another life limiting condition such as dementia, end stage COPD or another condition.
The goal of palliative care is to achieve the best possible quality of life for patients and to help with the concerns of our patients and their families.
There are lots of resources on the St Rocco's Hospice website for you to read. Also, one of our practice nurses at the practice is a Macmillian Nurse Champion. You can contact Sister Ruth Nobes for non-urgent queries or review of your care.
