Urgent Appointments

If you have an urgent  problem you will be seen on the day you request an appointment. The practice does specialise in providing an acute access system called the same day access where doctors and nurses work together to provide a high quality patient-centred service.

If your condition is non-urgent you also have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance. Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. You can expect to see a nurse within one working day.

We do provide some flexibility in our appointment system. If you find it difficult to get to surgery during our normal working hours please discuss this with our receptionist or practice manager

Making an Appointment

Ring our main switchboard number on (01925) 823502.  An automated telephone system is in operation, please listen carefully to the whole message before making your choices. The switchboard is open from 9am.

You can book an appointment on-line if you have a SystmOne username and password. Please use the links at the botton of the home page to do this.

For the convenience of patients an automatic touch screen booking in system has been installed.  This system will alleviate having to queue at the reception desk and allow patients who wish to speak with the receptionist more privacy.

To help us to help you make an appointment,the following questions will be asked:

  1. Your name
  2. Your address
  3. Your telephone number
  4. Nature of the problem(in brief)
  5. Which doctor or member of the Primary Health Care Team is dealing with your particular problem(if applicable)

Please remember that everything you tell our Triage Receptionists will be treated in the strictest confidence and that any questions she may ask are to ensure you are dealt with appropriately

Out of Hours Emergencies that require the immediate attention of a doctor, please call 1-1-1.  Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination, or a private room to discuss any matters. 

We are normally closed the last Thursday afternoon in the month for staff training. Ring our main switchboard number to obtain advice on how to receive urgent medical attention.

A secretary is available in the practice to deal with queries and requests between 11am and 12.30 pm Monday to Friday.
